FavoriteS

I really enjoy so many different foods, and really want to celebrate food diversity, food images, recipes, healthy foods, local foods, affordable foods, self prepared foods, cultural foods , tastes, spices and spice levels.

 First's
This is where my interest really started, Pho...nourishing, healing, satisfying.  My father introduced me when I was about 13.
My first Chicago dog, well at least while in Chicago...well at the Airport LOL.  Was good though.

This was my first Pasty at Saraveza in Portland Or. http://www.saraveza.com/
My brother "Burt" and Ed took and treated me.
The pickled veggies and pomegranate seeds really wowed me.

Creations

My lunch today...Trader Joes flax seed crackers with hard salami, Asian pear,  blood orange, siracha and brown mustard.

Quinoa..Bob's Red Mill Organic...this  is a Thai style with mushrooms, baby dill, lime, green onion and cilantro.
My take on Bun (boon) bowls...my other Vietnamese love.  Easy, rice noodles over any kind of salad leaf, sprinkled with peanuts, lime, jalapeƱos,  chili garlic sauce and hoisen.   My favorite, breakfast lunch or dinner.
My bread machine helps make many things.

Locations

Had the pleasure of spending 6 years of my life in Durango, Co....this just represents great times, memories and food.
Downtown Portland, Thai cart..side of veggies and rice for around 2  dollars, and had to top it off with a Thai Iced Coffee for another 2 dollars.

Food Carts near PSU, I tried the Vietnamese one, had the Bun bowl with Cha Gio (little crispy egg rolls) and the best sauce ever.
